In a recent interview with Fashion Designer Rick Owens for Interview magazine, pop star Miley Cyrus claimed that she was “chased down by some sort of UFO” and said that she made “eye contact” with an alien.
Cyrus said that the incident “f***ed me up” and said that she now can’t “look at the sky the same”.
"I was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO. I’m pretty sure about what I saw,” she said, according to Yahoo News.
However, she did add that she was under the influence at the time of the encounter.
“I’d also bought weed wax from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop, so it could have been the weed wax," she added.
Cyrus described the UFO as a “flying snowplow” that was “glowing yellow” with a “big plow in the front of it.”
“I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too. There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real,” she said.
Cyrus added that she did not feel threatened by the experience, even when she made eye contact with what she described as a “being.”
“It looked at me and we made eye contact, and I think that’s what really shook me, looking into the eyes of something that I couldn’t quite wrap my head around," she said.
While she did not feel threatened, she did say that she was “shaken up” for days by the experience.
“I was shaken up for like five days. It f***ed me up. I couldn’t really look at the sky the same. I thought they might come back,” she said.
Cyrus is the daughter of country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus, and became a teen celebrity while portraying the title character of the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana between 2006 and 2011. As Hannah Montana, she attained two number-one and three top-ten soundtracks on the US Billboard 200. She went on to have many other hit songs, and has sold 20 million singles and 12 million albums. As an actress, Cyrus has made appearances in the animated film Bolt and the feature films Hannah Montana: The Movie and The Last Song.
Her claims may sound outrageous, but UFOs are now a formally recognized phenomenon. Earlier this month, United States President Donald Trump acknowledged the existence of a UFO program
The formation of this new task force is something that has been in motion for a long time, since the Pentagon released declassified videos to the public which showed government aircraft interacting with UFOs in the sky.
In June, the Senate Intelligence Committee voted to investigate the phenomenon after reviewing the videos.
The footage that provoked this renewed interest in UFOs was captured in 2014 and 2015. One of the videos, taken from US Navy aircraft, seems to show the pilots chasing a UFO off the east coast of the United States. Navy pilots reported spotting the objects flying around 30,000 feet in the air at hypersonic speeds and showing no visible engines or exhaust plumes typical of any known aircraft currently on Earth.
