Last week, sources close to Ghislaine Maxwell began to talk about a large pile of evidence that the former Epstein associate had been collecting over the years, including secret tapes of powerful people, politicians and royalty.
In an interview with The Sun, Epstein’s former employer Steven Hoffenberg said that Maxwell ‘knows everything’ and will ‘totally co-operate’ after her arrest.
Hoffenberg, said that ‘there’s a lot of people very worried’ about what Maxwell could tell investigators.
Now, William Steel, a former Jewel thief turned author who claims to have been friends with Maxwell and Epstein says that the pair forced him to watch videos of two prominent politicians sexually assaulting underage girls.
He said that the pair forced him to watch the videos to prove that they had power, and that they bragged about “owning” influential figures and world leaders.
Steel told The Sun “They wanted to convince me of their power and who they held in their grip. They boasted about ‘owning’ powerful people. I saw videos of very powerful people – celebrities, world figures – in those videos having sex, threesomes, even orgies with minors.”
The former friend also mentioned two ‘high-profile’ American politicians who were in videos with minors.
Steel says that Epstein and Maxwell would regularly buy his stolen jewelry to give as gifts to the young girls that they were abusing. He also claims that he developed an “intimate” relationship with Maxwell, but insisted that he was never involved with any of the abuse that took place, and was only using them for their money.
Earlier this week, a lawyer for Epstein victims said that Prince Andrew is on the secret stash of recordings that Maxwell plans to use as a bargaining tool to get a reduced prison sentence.
‘There is no doubt Prince Andrew would have been captured on footage filmed in rooms and private areas of Epstein’s property,” attorney David Boies said.
On Sunday, Boies told The Mail that, ‘We know there were cameras throughout the New York mansion and in Epstein’s other properties. We know there were a multitude of cameras and very large quantities of tapes. Prince Andrew would have been included. He would certainly have been included among the people who would have been captured on the tapes.”
Jeffrey Epstein’s longtime associate and accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell has been under a tight watch while in custody because officials fear that she may end up dead. Out of fear that she may take her own life, prison officials took away her clothes and bedsheets and forced her to wear paper gowns while in custody, according to the Associated Press.
Because of what happened to Epstein, authorities are concerned that Maxwell won’t make it to trial, so they have taken extreme security measures that were not in place at the time of Epstein’s imprisonment. Following Maxwell’s arrest, Prince Andrew has canceled his trips abroad and plans to stay in the UK out of fears that he could be intercepted by authorities, the New York Post reported.
