Joe Biden has told his advisers that he does not intend to investigate Donald Trump for the alleged crimes that he committed in office, or the crimes that he was accused of committing before he became president.
This includes investigations into his controversial finances and sexual assault allegations. Members of his administration, including those who have been given immunity, will also likely avoid investigations under a Biden presidency. Instead, Biden will be stressing "unity" between the Democrats and Republicans.
One of Biden's advisers told NBC News that the president-elect is worried about how an investigation into Trump and his administration would further divide the country. The source said that Biden specifically told advisers he is worried that a federal investigation into Trump's taxes could cause a backlash among the current president's supporters.
One adviser was quoted saying that Biden "just wants to move on."
Another Biden adviser said, "He's going to be more oriented toward fixing the problems and moving forward than prosecuting them."
What happened to, in America no one is above the law? Don't go after him like R's did with Hillary, endless investigations and hearings. However, D's should investigate DT & his admin. for crimes.

However, this would not change the fact that Trump is being investigated by state officials, and will not stop the investigations into his finances in places like New York.
"His overarching view is that we need to move the country forward. But the most important thing on this is that he will not interfere with his Justice Department and not politicize his Justice Department," an adviser said.
On the campaign trail, Biden said that any federal investigations into Trump would be decided by the attorney general, not him.
"If that was the judgment that he violated the law and he should be, in fact, criminally prosecuted, then so be it, but I would not direct it," Biden said during a debate in Atlanta earlier this year.
Biden has also said that he will not pardon Trump if other agencies seek to bring charges against him, but it still seems to be something that he is determined to avoid.
Biden promised to sign an executive order calling for the immediate firing of anyone in his administration who seeks to "initiate, encourage, obstruct or otherwise improperly influence specific DOJ investigations or prosecutions for any reason."
Last week, Mary Trump, the president's estranged niece who wrote a book about the family, urged Biden to set up a task force for the specific purpose of investigating her uncle, but it looks like she will be disappointed, as will many of Biden's other supporters.
Despite the fantasies that politically-minded peasants have about throwing rival candidates in jail, this never happens, especially at the executive level in the United States. Prison is not for the aristocrats, it is for the peasants who vote them into power.
After a campaign filled with chants of "lock her up" and vague promises to put Hilary Clinton in prison, the topic was dropped as soon as the 2016 election was over. Now it is the Democrats who have fantasies of putting their political rival in prison, and many of them are counting on Biden to it.
Weird how none of these shitty old war criminals ever wants to investigate other shitty old war criminals https://t.co/mPPS32TtDO
